... and now for something completely different

Updated: Jul 26, 2020

Thought it was time to do something *insert title of blog* this is med free! :)

Alan is still home, making sure that I will be ok and stable, as per previous blog update ( TN &SPG) as it has been a weird couple of weeks for both of us

Alan and Francis came back the week before my SPG thing , and were doing bit and pieces around the ranch , they also went up to Sheridan and got the first hay of the year from Alan's friend Greg, so a trailer full of small bales for when the winter dumps hit. The next load will be mid August of the mega bales

I'm keeping all medical stuff on hold now till mid August, as very important things are planned for 4-15th August and nothing is going to interrupt that!

Jay returned alone to Dubois on 13th , 9hr drive, in big red - his blog is updates "Francis"

Ranch life is good, and wildlife overload - we have had several visits from our Bear - updates are on his page - the craziest one was him opening the garage doors, straight to the chest fridge freezer (walking by my Jeep) both doors were open at the top - a box of eggs devoured, a pack of butter and then the lower freezer draw (where we keep the steaks) opened, werent too sure if anything was gone as all the steaks wee there but Alan realized a few days later that his pack of Beer Brats were gone! so bloody funny. I did clean out the fridge - huge muddy paws everywhere - all glass shelves in place too - his guy is so gentle its crazy then after the fridge raid, he got one of the 4 trashcans we keep in the garage. trash bits everywhere - looks like he walked over the corvette (under cover luckily) onto the 6by and sat and had himself a smorgasbord - and I never heard a thing - nor the dogs! Ive seen him a few times on the deck and just watched him - deck lights were on, not a sound from him. He has stealth mastered

Also our squirrels are back after 9 yrs. They were eradicated when we moved in with Silago and Akasha but now they're safe and back in the trees

Most days Alan goes out and about on the ranch - eradicating gophers etc , the other day he saw 2 on a rock, he got one, then something appeared , its was a Long Tailed Weasel and he was dragging the deaded gopher and then looked at Alan - he said it was like he was giving him the thumbs up saying cheers mate, missus wont kill me now for not bringin nuffin home for dinner - so a new animal spotted :)

New lifestyle thing with me, ok a tad medical, but while Alan has been doing all this research for TN, all the meds . On ething that was discovered was that I had been taking my insulin resistance medication wrong (for 8 yrs) so rectified that. As my weight had sky rocketed with all the meds, steroids etc. So it was suggested I go to Low Fodmap (and work it against the I.R diet and only soluble fiber foods. Well my weight on June 10th was 168.9lbs and today (July 21st) I weigh 146.4lbs !!! Oh My Goodness wow - last time i was this weight it was my karate era , just before my thyroid stopped from giving up smoking . So woohoo . I agree there's not alot of food for me to actually eat but I have never been a big eater anyway - once a day and picky bits etc.

beginning of Low fodmap till this morning

darnit my roots need doing haha - gotta keep the witch status alive & well!

Ok the big news, and for most that know me, this is a mega huge thing Our granddaughter Beastie (7 this year) is coming to the ranch, we haven't seen her since Xmas 2016 for 4 days!!!! .

This is 11 days on her own with Nana & GrandDad . I will meet them at DIA 7am 4th August, as I'll have the puppies, it's a snatch and grab thing as Sophie has a quick turn around flight back then Alan will be here for a few days before he takes Ayli back up to Anchorage Excellent hey! so that's for now - SO EXCITED!!!!!
