Time for the big bales
These are 7'x 3'x 3'
This is the best hay - the horses grew up with this hay as it comes from Centennial Valley where they were all born and raised when I was working at Jean's ranch - we get this hay from the neighboring ranch - owned by our friend's Rich & Jana Wilson Deerwood Ranch Wild Horse EcoSanctuary
They now have rescued Mustangs aswell as cattle, so every year (snowfall providing) we get a majority of our hay from here.
The first trip Alan left early for the first load - using Doug's trailer he was able to bring back 18 bales. While he was over at Rich's I cleaned out the barn and swept everything out - oh yay allergies kicked in ever since) When he got back we unhitched the gooseneck and hooked up our trailer and we all went over.. which means me and my puppies! they were so good and stayed with me and had a good run around. they are never leashed or are used to being somewhere else so i was impressed Also saw Rich's son, Schad, he went to Centennial elementary with Jay so ive known him since he was young, he's now 25 and got married last year. Crazy to think how long we've been here ! we spent a good hour there yapping and catching up and we got home around 1. I really needed more coffee at this point as this is my sleeptime for a couple of hours (insomnia etc) then down to the barn and play tetris with haybales. We were all done by 5.30 and then we were both like zombies with clubbed heads! but we now have enough hay to last until June next year when we do this all over again!
Next on agenda is Alan is going away tomorrow (21st) and hopefully will be back in time for me to go to the airport and pick up my Dad , who will be here for 10 days!
Then my bulb delivery arrives so its get bus and re dig some bouldery & prepare the areas for those!
ive just added some more pics into various pages - check the homepage for updated pages :)
